//Blanc & Noir Fall 2011: RUGGED & refined

We’re so glad that Blanc & Noir’s new fall collection has arrived. The heat’s finally broken and it’s time to start contemplating what you’re going to wear once the mercury really starts dropping. This collection is a little bit of both worlds: sharp tailoring against soft fabrics, rugged styling with classic touches.

Vintage Wool Peacoat
We pretty much fell over ourselves when we handled the sample months ago and now that it’s finally here, we’re falling in love with the nubby vintage-washed wool all over again. Bomber-inspired ribbing at the cuffs and waist gives it a nice and modern fit, but the thick, fluffy wool is going to make this a favorite for years to come.

Navy Brushed Chino Pant
Cooler weather calls for more cozy bottoms like these chinos in a richly dyed navy. The entire pant is brushed to create a soft, thick nap that makes these pants a perfect option for when it gets grey and gross outside your window. Pair them with boots or clean shoes and they’ll take you just about anywhere.

White Poplin Shirt
One of our favorite parts of this collection are the crisply tailored shirts, which are a perfect contrast to all the slightly worn-in fabrics and comfy shapes. With its simple styling and super subtle detailing (the overlapping placket edges are barely noticeable but create a great line down the body), this style can be dressed up or down as you please.

Of course, this is only a sampling of our total collection for the season. To see the rest, check out our entire Blanc & Noir selection online or check it out in person.
