It can be a little hard to notice all the great details that some of our designers put into their work when shopping our webstore, so we thought we’d shine a little light on signature pieces that we think deserve your attention. First up is Robert Geller’s Stefan Jacket, one of our favorite pieces of outerwear this season and exclusively ours in the United States.
Though he may have a résumé that reads like a how-to guide on how to become one of America’s most respected and directional menswear designers (graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, working for Marc Jacobs, partnering with Alexandre Plohkov at Cloak, launching his own label, winning the CFDA’s menswear award), Robert isn’t one to rest on his laurels. Years of design experience have refined his design vocabulary into a smart, modern approach to tailoring and sportswear that every guy absolutely must own.
- The top zipper pull is made of reversed leather embossed with Robert Geller’s logo.
- An asymmetric seam on the right side of the jacket looks decorative at first glance, but a hidden eye is worked into the seam. A corresponding hook is hidden inside the left side of the jacket, allowing for an alternative way to close the jacket that creates a bunched, asymmetric look.
- To maintain the sleek line of the jacket, the waist pockets are welted to lay flat against the body when not in use. Solid black knit trim at the cuffs, waist, and neckline offer a comfortable, snug fit while contrasting against the texture off-black color of the jacket’s cupro-blend shell.
- A second zipper pull lets you open up the jacket at the bottom and cut away from the body. It’s a small detail, but it helps to reduce bulk when you have more layers on underneath.
