Meet Jerome, resident Acrimony model.
What is your all time favorite song?
Trigger by In Flames. This band played a huge role in my younger years. Their music helped me get through with times where I felt lonely, or overwhelmed by the world around me. I still go back and listen to them from time to time.
Who inspires you?
I am constantly inspired by the world that surrounds me, but someone I’ve always admired is Moby. I’ve seen him perform in front of 100,000 people and in front of 100 people. He’s an artist who adapts easily, and who is able to make tasteful art and music in so many different situations.
How did you come to start modeling at Acrimony?
My friend Sheena moved to San Francisco and started working at Acrimony. She told me they needed a model, and asked me if I’d be interested. I was a little hesitant to do it at first, but in the end I’m glad I did! It’s been awesome being involved with the shop for the last four years.
Besides modeling, what do you do for work?
My background is in interaction design, studying the interactions between humans and products (physical or digital) and creating smart, sustainable services and environments. Recently I’ve taken a break to pursue some personal artistic projects (photo/video/installation). You can follow @jerometave for updates.
Who is your celebrity crush?
I don’t really know... I’ll just pick Nina Kraviz. She’s a techno DJ/producer and she’s badass.
How do you spend your free time?
I’m all about adventures. In my free time, I’m usually riding bikes, running, or swimming. I’m also really into bonsai. I spend a fair amount of time tending to my trees.
Current favorite piece in the store?
I like the new Damir Doma pieces, but I’m really looking forward to the Chapter collection to arrive to the shop.
