Jon Embroidered Bomber
From anyone else, embroidery of a Talking Heads' lyric would be trite stuff, but with his uncompromising aesthetic, we're inclined to believe that Damir Doma's serious. By remaking an MA-1 bomber—that most masculine and martial of outerwear—in light cotton poplin in an oversized silhouette, Doma turns an aggressive posture into a romantic one. Frayed seams, unfinished edges, and distressed trims soften the bomber into a new type of statement jacket while contrasting white embroidery spells out the season's theme: "never for money always for love". Pull this bomber on with fine jersey tees and oversized bottoms for a modern look as authentic as the designer himself.
